The guidelines for the admitted market program include:
- Professional homebuilders with no limits on the number of homes built
- Use insured subcontractors with written contracts that require:
- Naming the insured as an additional insured with waiver of subrogation and hold harmless agreement in the contract
- Require minimum GL limits of $500,000
- Formal procedure for obtaining and reviewing certificates of insurance of all subcontractors
- ISO forms and ISO classifications and rating basis
Other markets are available for homebuilders that do not meet the requirements of the admitted market program.
